Welcome — and thank you for being here
I’m Rachel Selman MS OTR/L, CNT, a neonatal professional passionate about advancing evidence-based, relationship-centred care for our tiniest patients and their families. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible teams in the NICU, where I developed a deep interest in early feeding development and habilitation. My journey led me to develop the Prefeeding Pathways framework — a model that empowers caregivers to support infants through graded, positive feeding experiences from the very beginning.
This website and blog were created as a space to share knowledge, spark collaboration, and bridge research with real-world practice. Here, you’ll find reflections, resources, and discussions that highlight the art and science of neonatal care — from evidence-informed interventions to the subtle moments that shape feeding readiness and parent-infant connection. My hope is that this platform becomes a community for professionals who, like me, believe that even the smallest steps can make a profound difference in a baby’s start to life.
